Our Story

Lardo opened its doors with the intention of bringing the true spirit of Italy to the streets of Toronto. Quality over quantity, our goal is to highlight the true flavours of each ingredient we use in an uncomplicated way, letting the ingredients speak for themselves. Inspired by the timeless era of the 1950’s, Lardo always looks to keep the tradition of Italian hospitality alive in every element of our approach.

Since opening in May of 2023, Lardo has organically evolved to become a go-to space where casual diners can enjoy a glass of wine, and straightforward, Italian-inspired dishes, or serve as an ideal location for private dining and events. Nestled behind the front bar, sits a sprawling 12' dining table designed for exactly that.

Food to us is more than sustenance; each meal holds the opportunity to build experience, share stories, and strengthen our bonds and relationships.
